make a bag

I have already forgotten the silly pattern i bought because I found this lovely book instead. I will be making something from here most definitely

I am relatively new to sewing – got my beautiful Janome sewing machine last year. Since then have made 4 tops (all without sleeves I hasten to add) and one dress of which I am most proud.

I have always wanted to make a bag and i have some good ideas of shape and style but my brain couldnt quite fathom out how to make the bag so i bought a pattern. The pattern pictures are not really what I had in mind but i will just make one for technique purposes.

Now to get started!
