In regards to the victims of hurricane Katrina… I can no longer watch the desperation and hurt on TV and the radio. My mom had a great idea, and I think it may help to restore a little dignity to these people’s lives who have lost EVERYTHING… she thought we could assemble kits inside shoeboxes of toiletry items for the victims i.e. – soap, toothbrush, washcloth, toothpaste, deodorant, comb etc. and send them out. We are in the process of trying to find out where we can ship these so that we can be assured they are received. When I find out, I will send an e-mail to everyone I know with the mailing info asking them to send a kit and to pass the word along. I will also post places to send these to on this site when I get the information in case anyone else would like to do this.
