pay off credit cards

Finally! Last two payments submitted today … now for the sheer joy of seeing the statement “Balance Due $0.00” ... Thank you God!

Bonus (don’t count your chickens before they are hatched) is due in 3 -4 weeks … with any luck it’s enough to pay off the very last bit … (I have been chunking away at it faithfully … it’ll be good to get the weight of the money I lost selling my house off my back. Say a prayer for me please.

Working hard to get these paid off because I want to take my life in a new direction. I have to work really hard to make the money I make and although I enjoy my job, I have done it for nearly 35 years and have some other goals to meet … so I want to get this done so I can feel more freedom to pursue some other dreams.

I have chosen to fore go eating out and am using that money to pay down my cards (2 left) ... I have chosen to live in a small apartment … I still am driving my 2002 Taurus.

I will keep writing to encourage myself to stick with this goal.

I have been diligently working on this and in March I got a larger than expected bonus and I used the money to pay off the worst interest rate one!

1 down 2 to go!!!! I will get this done!!!

Have increased monthly payments to pay off sooner … got transferred … sold house (at a loss …like most of America) ... but will use the difference between my mortgage and my much cheaper rent to pay off my credit cards sooner.

Word to the soon to be wise. Freeze your credit cards in a block of ice in the freezer. Don’t thaw it out unless they won’t admit you to the hospital without it.

Paid off the MONSTER one … now I smile everytime I see the bill come and it says:

Amount Due $0.00
Minimum Payment Due $0.00

Didn’t make as much progress as I wanted … a bunch of stuff happened … read my entry on LOSE 30 POUNDS … so I am starting over on this goal!

Hi … I am abehareina … I am a credit-card-aholic. It’s been 45 days since I last used my credit cards.

Ok … it is Wednesday of vacation … my mom wants to go out to eat for lunch … I need to order thoughtfully … keep the cost down … PAY CASH!!!

I need to buy an airline ticket for a trip in May … does paying the amount into my credit card first and then booking the ticket count as “cheating” on my “NOT USING MY CREDIT CARDS?” is there another way to pay for an airline ticket?

Comments please … my first major moral quandary with the “NOT USING MY CREDIT CARDS” ....

I will pay them off … this is war!!!
