This has been a productive day. I’ve been able to grade more essays today than I have since Victor was born, although many of them had to be done while I was lying down.

Today:
1. TPR essays. done!
2. Eat a decent lunch. done
3. Walk and bathe Victor.
4. Journal.
5. Introduce baby turtles to tank with older turtle.
6. Prep dinner early.
7. Watch “House.”
8. Do some laundry.

Husband’s going to a wedding reception while I have to stay home, because we don’t have a sitter. My parents have been sick with the flu. I’ve been pretty bummed about this since I could really use a night out. But oh well. I know where my priorities are. Victor comes first!

Today:
1. Change turtle and fish tanks.
2. Stay awake long enough to put Victor to bed after breastfeeding so I don’t run into marathon sessions. This has been a challenge for me.
3. Morning walk with Victor.
4. Finish decluttering cabinets.
5. TPR essays if there are any.
6. Travel essay.

Had such a great time chatting with my sister and an old friend yesterday. Must remember to do that more often. I’d become such a recluse these past two years. Had forgotten how much I enjoy hearing about other people’s lives; I felt a bit of my old self coming back to me.

Today:
1. Walk Victor in the morning. done
2. TPR essays during his morning nap.
3. Organize/declutter cabinet.
4. Make fish stock?
5. Prep for dinner early.
6. Travel essay?
7. Sun turtles.
8. Water garden.

These are just things I would LIKE to do. All depends of course on the whims of an unpredictable baby.

I haven’t been on this site in a while. Have been a bit too busy with…oh well, what do you call it, except “life”? My schedule is still unpredictable with baby. Some days I get something done and others nothing at all.

Today:
1. Some TPR essays.
2. Still trying to get Victor on some sort of schedule. We’re both not sleeping well.
3. Laundry.
4. Get out for some air.
5. Call V.
6. Keep kitchen clean. If it ain’t clean enough for mother-in-law, it ain’t clean!
7. Decluttering.

Besides Victor duties—he’s been so peevish and difficult lately, a quickie list:

1. Change turtle tank.
2. Plant two flats of ground cover in front lawn.
3. Get packages and bills ready to mail.
4. Laundry.

That night of six-hour sleep was just a fluke. The next night Victor woke about every 2-3 hours as usual. Oh well.

1. Some light cleaning since we have a guest coming.
2. See if I can escape for a couple of hours while hubby watches Victor between feedings so I can get my essay done.
3. Trip to bookstore in the evening.
4. Water garden.
5. Take turtles out to sun.
6. Spaghetti for dinner?

Victor is almost two months old. Last night he slept for the first time from midnight to about 6 am. I feel as if I’d slept ten hours!

1. Write draft of essay due at end of month. Fingers crossed I get time to do this today.
2. Load of laundry.
3. Load of dishes.
4. Water garden. Poor garden. So neglected with baby. And I lost three fish too.
5. Take a reluctant look at bills & pay.
6. Clean out closet. I need to fix up my wardrobe.

I love fall. So many beautiful warm colors and the coolness approaching in the air. Victor surprised me by finally catching onto breastfeeding. The pain is excruciating but hoping it will get better. My hands are finally free!

1. TPR essays.
2. Old Navy/Target for sales and exchange.
3. Write at least one hour on project due at end of the month.
4. Water garden.
5. Tidy up desk. It’s a mess.

I’m officially declaring today Take it Easy Day. My emotions, frustrations and anger are running high today. Just need to let go of the reigns a little and nap and relax.

1. Naps.
2. Pleasurable cleaning & decluttering.
3. Work in the garden if I feel like it.
4. If I do write, it won’t be about how I’m feeling today.
5. Early dinner, early night.

Okay, didn’t get too much done yesterday, other than have friend visit. Tasks for today:

1. Get nap in before doing anything.
2. Change fish tanks.
3. Take turtles out to sun.
4. Water & tidy up garden. This will take most of the day.
5. Out: buy new bulb for fish tank. Walmart for toiletries and garden supplies.
6. Declutter.
