The meet is tomorrow!

I am packed. I am ready.

Wow. Some of you guys are real, with actual bones and skin and stuff, and tomorrow I get to check. Wow. Surreal.

Accommodation crisis here averted. I have a hostel bed. Now I can get on with going squeeeeeeeeee! Three days to go! Three days to go! Three days to go!

Due to uncontrollable circumstances my crash for Saturday night after the meet-up has fallen through! And my backup crash for Saturday night has also fallen through! Does anyone know of any cheap (or not-so-cheap, seeing as I’m desperate) places to stay in the vicinity of the meet? B and Bs, hotels, anything? Or can anyone offer a sofa, floor, or even a reasonably dry bath tub? I’m housetrained and I won’t steal anything, though I might use up all your teabags.

Hooray! I’m coming to meet you all at the London meet-up! It’s official. I booked my train tickets. ((((((Casey))))), I’m coming to hug ya! Without the use of brackets!

Grrr, though. After a week of buying the local paper and collecting tokens for a cheap £15 ticket, I log on to the train company’s website to find all the offer tickets for those dates are taken. And to add insult to injury, there are no actual trains from Newcastle that weekend, so half of my journey will be on a crappy bus. It’s wound up costing me £44 for two singles, and if I miss either of them I’m screwed. Rubbish expensive public transport. It really pisses me off.

You’re no doubt feeling flush or at least a bit less skint than you normally would. So how about booking your train/plane/rickshaw/horse-drawn carriage to the London meet-up on the 9th September? There’ll be robots, and drink, and people and things! It’ll be fun!

I have been on the phone to sunshinelindsay – otherwise known as Bex/BeckyLindsay/Piratequeen etc – and even though she is no longer a 43er, she will be attending the meet with me. Huzzah!

For anyone who’s not yet noticed, the meet is officially on, and I’m gonna keep bumping this until, frankly, you’ve all signed up for it. Howay, kids, the Robots are travelling aaaaall the way from Seattle for this, I’m sure you can get on a train for a couple of hours and greet them with open arms. I am!
