It’s awful having to look at that pic that I’ve posted… I actually just did my first triathlon (sprint) on April 4. This was me coming out of the water after the swim. I’m not proud of how I look, but I’ve never felt that I’ve ever been “buff” by any stretch of the imagination. But I have been thinner, down as low as 170 instead of the 195 in this pic. I’m currently 43 years old and about 6’2”.

I’m roughly doing the Body for Life program right now: eat approx every 4 hours, balance protein & carb (more carb in am; more protein in pm), working out for strength (no weights, though) and doing interval running 3x a week. One cheat day or meal a week.

I’m starting at 195 pounds—that’s my Monday morning wake up weight. My initial goal is 175 pounds. When I hit that, I will re-evaluate.

Monday, April 13: 195
Monday, April 20: 191
Monday, April 27: 190
Monday, May 4: 191 Damn!

I’m leaving for a three-week vacation in Greece on May 14, and I will allow myself much more freedom over that time, but I’m hoping this focus will put me on track to have a healthier trip.
