Still doing well. 12 months ago

After a 3-day break from the gym, I managed to hit up the gym tonight. Spent 40 minutes on the treadmil and did a few reps on the leg press. I probably won’t go tomorrow because of the storm that is supposed to be moving in, but we’ll see.

I did splurge on some junk food the last two days, but not too bad! Back on track now. =)

I’ve already noticed that my pants for work are fitting a little looser! My fiance is very proud that I am keeping this up!

Doing better. 13 months ago

Last week I started working out at the gym again. I’ve been doing 45 minutes of cardio. I worked out last Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and yesterday. I plan on going to the gym tomorrow night and probably Saturday morning. But we’ll see. We’re supposed to get snow, so that might throw a wrench in those plans. But I’m super proud of myself so far. =)

New motivation. 13 months ago

Like I mentioned in my “Eat healthier” entry, I have a new reason for eating healthy and staying in shape. I do wish to keep it private for now, but I am off to a pretty good start.

My boyfriend does his work-outs to a program called P90X. So, last night I did the Chest/Back/Arms work-out with him. Tonight I did the Ab Ripper & about 20 minutes of Yoga (I can’t do the full hour and 30 minutes of Yoga yet!). I’m feeling stretched and relaxed.

I can’t wait to see results!

Day 4 13 months ago

Ok, so after Monday’s 30 minute work-out, I haven’t done anything. I didn’t even go to the gym on Tuesday like I was supposed to. The weekdays are so hard for me because of my crazy work schedule (8am-7pm). Tonight was my dad’s birthday, so I had shrimp, baked potato, corn, and of course a slice of incredibly rich birthday cake. My jeans were also too tight for my liking. Of course, I had Starbucks this morning as well. :(

I need to get back on track. Maybe if I create a meal plan that is easy to follow? Its hard because I’m not a good cook, I’m especially not a good cook for healthy meals. I like salad, but it isn’t filling and I’m starving 2 hours later. Anyone have any tips for sticking to a healthy eating plan for people who literally have no time to eat healthy???

Day 1 14 months ago

Was really tired this morning. But I managed to work out for 30 minutes to my boyfriend’s P90X video. I got a headache half-way through, but I do feel much better after working out a little. At least it’s a start.

Tomorrow I am giong to see if my gym is putting on any classes (yoga or pilates). If I mix it up, maybe I won’t get bored so easily.

I'm lazy. 14 months ago

I’m lazy and I know it. I need to start somewhere. 2-3 times a week is my goal for hitting the gym, cutting back on sweets, and drinking more water will all play a huge factor into achieving this goal.

In high school, I was anorexic and was 94 pounds at my lowest weight (I’m 5’5). Now, I’m 23 and about 120-125 pounds (I no longer own a scale, but I know my body well enough to guess my weight). I’m proud I’ve overcome my eating disorder, but I’ve really let myself go this year. So, my point isn’t to reach a certain weight… it’s to get in shape and be healthy.

I want to look and feel sexy again. Certainly weighing 125 pounds isn’t bad by any means, but I feel too soft, too squishy, and within the last few months I’ve felt uncomfortable being naked in front of my fiance. I want my tight butt back, my flat stomach, and slender arms.

Since tomorrow is the start of a new week (and my day off) I’m going to force myself to hit the gym and get in at least 30 minutes of cardio. I will do this. I think it will also help with my stress levels.

Here’s to getting in shape!
