Brief Update - Progress!

CC #1: $2,000
CC #2: $3,990
Personal Loan: $6,600
Total: $12,590

Been able to pay a big chunk of the Personal Loan off. Hope to keep it up!

Was doing so good...

I used to be so good about paying off debt. But it seems to have accumulated quite rapidly over the last 6 months… I really want to get this paid off, especially now that I’m not paying any rent or utilities. Here is what I hope to get paid off very soon. I’m getting married next August and I don’t want to take this debt into my new marriage.

CC #1: $2,000
CC #2: $4,100
Personal Loan: $9,200
Total: $15,300

I used to have over $7,000 in savings a few years ago. Where has it all gone? Two new cars, furniture for an apartment I couldn’t afford, taxes because I’m a single girl with no deductions who makes too much money so I always have to pay every year. Ugh. And that $15,300 isn’t even including my car loan. I’d be happy if I could just pay all this off and only had the car payment.

I think I can devote roughly $1,000 each month to the debt. My goal is to get the Personal Loan paid off first because the interest rate is ridiculous. I’m getting married in 15 months and if I can put at least $650 on to the Personal Loan each month, I will have that Personal Loan paid off by then. That would be a huge help!

So, from now on, I’m going to update this thing with my debt progress. I’ve got to get it under control. I feel like if I keep track of it, then I have a better chance at sticking to it.
