We found the ceremony and reception site that we liked. A mansion built in the 1800s. We are getting married outside on the property under a huge Ponderosa pine tree and then having the reception in the lovely conservatory. Our wedding date is set: August 3rd, 2009.

My boyfriend gave me a Promise Ring Christmas 2007. Recently, I’ve been calling him my fiance at work or when clients at work ask if I’m engaged. It’s just easier than saying “Oh, it’s a promise ring, we’ll get engaged someday, etc.”

We’ve been talking a lot about marriage lately and yesterday my boyfriend said we can officially announce our engagement to his family when we visit them in Boston on Tuesday!!!

We looked at rings yesterday to upgrade from my promise ring to a very pretty, unique engagement ring! He said he would work as hard as he can to get me this new ring soon.

I’m so excited! I’m already looking at wedding dates (August 8th is idea). I can’t wait to embark on this new journey in my life.
