I posted this AGES ago, but feel like it’s never going to happen. We keep talking about it, but DOING it is another story.
sigh Why does it have to be so difficult?

I didn’t mention in my entry yesterday that Rudi and I are also eating more salad than we used to. We actually never used to eat salad really…sometimes tuna-pasta salad…or other noodle salads…but we’ve started eating green salads lately. Even with the mutton curry we ate last night we had salad.
We used to eat dressing with it…but last night we enjoyed it without dressing. We also use feta cheese which is really nice (I like the danish smooth creamy one).
We’re doing better.
I’ve also made a point of not buying junk food at work. I’m really prone to buy a packet of chips…or a doughnut or a piece of cake. I haven’t really done that. I am also broke though…hmmm maybe I should just be broke all the time. Maybe that will help me lose weight, although…salad ingredients cost money.
I know I made this goal a long time ago, but I haven’t been motivated to try and lose weight or anything similair.
Rudi and I made a joint decision to try and eat healthier…and in 2007 (short as it may be) we’ve slowly started implementing this. We’ve started baking our food instead of frying it now that Rudi has bought me a stove for Christmas. We had oven bake chips last night instead of frying them the way we usually do.
We’re also trying to eat less red meat and eat more chicken and fish. We started drinking 2% milk instead of full fat some where in December.
Baby steps.
Speaking of steps…I really have to start walking. Eish.
I’ve already started doing this. I’ve replaced eating white bread with eating brown or wholewheat bread. I’ve also started drinking more tea than coffee.
