learn to shoot a gun

Two days ago I went out west of town and got to shoot two different hand guns about 2-3 clips each. It was pretty exciting but it wasn’t as big of a thrill as I thought it would be. Not saying it wasn’t fun. I’d like to do it again for sure. It’s just that I hear people talk about their first time like a religious experience. Oh well I had fun and I’m just not ready for worship.

There is still alot more I’d like to learn and I’m far from being a sharpshooter but all in all a fun first time.

Well so much for an unexcpected but pleasant surprise. I guess I still haven’t really shot a gun. I’ve “played” on the FATS on at least two military bases but never got to fire an actual gun before. I was supposed to go out and fire a handgun but that didn’t happen. I really want it to happen this month though. I would like to fire a handgun by the end of the month and possibly a rifle too.

This wasn’t very high on my to do list but I’d be stupid not to jump at the perfect opportunity when I saw it. A guy I recently started dating has a .22 and he’s going to show me how in two weeks. Pretty exciting.
