I cannot believe I already got my 3rd card, the 5 of Clubs for Magic Mountain. The 52 Peak Club has already pushed me to do more than I thought possible for myself. I have been scared out of my mind a couple of times, but it sure is exhilarating to accomplish the peak.
I am very grateful for my Mama! We had a wonderful day yesterday. She made roast and potatoes for dinner, followed by lemon cake for dessert. We spent the evening watching the Bible series and talking about my hiking adventures. I am very blessed!
I am very grateful that I survived my first real scramble at Kraft Mountain. I can’t believe I already got my second card for the 52 Peak Club in the first week! Every muscle in my entire body was aching afterward, what a work out!!!
These are my favorite pants ever! I am very grateful that I discovered them for hiking. I wore a pair yesterday and we did a ton of scrambling, scooting on rocks, and running into brush and they sure take a beating! Plus, they are very flattering…what more could you ask for?
I am very grateful for the new hiking shirts I got. They are cute, functional, and cooler than you would expect. It’s always fun to get new clothes!
I am very grateful that Dad and Gloria were in town and I had a chance to hang out with them. It was great to see him and I am so glad that he is still with Gloria and doing well. I think they plan on marrying next year and I’m just happy he is not all by himself.
I am very grateful for a pair of Keen’s that I bought for work. They are beyond cute and super comfortable. Boy, I sure do love shoes!
I am very grateful that I got a pair of trekking poles. I believe they saved me a few times on our Hidden Peak hike. Plus, I will be able to use them on future hikes and possibly the narrows. Not only are they better for your joints, but they also give me a sense of stability.
I am very grateful that I got my first card with Hiking Las Vegas by completing Hidden Peak. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get all 52 cards, but it sure gives you the motivation to try! It was a great sense of accomplishment completing a “real” hike, instead of an easier marked trail.
Mary Jane Falls
I am very grateful for another great Meetup hike at Mary Jane Falls. I have actually already done this hike, but I didn’t realize there was a cave! That’s what’s nice about going with an organizer.
