A Trip To KC

Wasn’t actually running away from home though. The dog didn’t get to go. I missed him terribly! I was away from home from the 3rd to the 9th of February. My oldest son was in the hospital in KC for back surgery. Wasn’t a fun trip at all. Though it did have its moments!
I’m ready for a roadtrip….what the hell was I thinking turning down a roadtrip yesterday?

Monday to Friday

That’s still not quite a week. And the folks I ran away from home to see aren’t exactly the same folk I wanted to run away from home with. I had a great time camping for four days though. From Tuesday afternoon to Friday evening I spent my time at the lake with two of my sisters and their families. The dog even ran away from home with me! He had even more fun than I did!

Tuesday to Friday...

that ain’t quite a whole week but close enough! I had a fabulouse four days away from it all and took up the challenge of sitting atop the orange machine in the sunshine. I got suntan on my face. Look like a danged raccoon cause I had my sunglasses on! lol It’s all good though! All Good!!!!
I traveled 126 miles to get there to stay for awhile. I enjoyed every minute away too!
Hopefully another road trip will be forthcoming before too much time goes by. A whole week away would be fabulous, but I’ll take whatever I can get and be happy with the time spent far from home.

240 miles and no regrets

Least I think there are none. I should have stayed to home but home is an empty place and it would have been empty regardless if I was here or not. So I left the emptiness and found some solid holds in the distance. 240 miles distance to be exact. That’s a long way to drive for 16 hours of no emptiness in sight. I enjoyed every second of it till I had to drive away and leave him with a broken machine to contend with.
Life must be lived.

I was almost right...

A week or so off is all. I’m running away for almost a week this evening. I’ll be gone for six days. That is the plan at any rate. I’ll tell you all about it when I get there.

a week away from home would be fabulous right about now

but a week away from home is not possible right now~! Perhaps a few days next week? I don’t know though. Have to wait to see what next week has in store.

Another roadtrip under my belt...or is that another notch on my gun?

Matters not, I guess how you look at it! I drove almost 200 miles round trip to spend some time with a good friend. Was an excellent adventure. Wish it had lasted longer than 22 1/2 hours though.

I'm leaving this goal here for the simple fact

that running away for seven weeks isn’t what this goal was about! Yes, I was gone for a week, and then some, but I wasn’t with the person I wanted to run away from home with!
Still working on a week away with that one!

ROAD TRIP EXTENDED FROM TWO WEEKS TO SEVEN WEEKS

Mission Accomplished!
Man! Am I Glad To Be Home!!!

It was only for about an hour, but I went on an adventure

March 5, Monday noon! Met up with a friend and had a nice talk, a nice hug and lots of sad thoughts disappated! I’m going on a two week roadtrip this coming week. I wish it were with the friend I met up with on Monday, but that ain’t going to happen so I’ll enjoy the friend I am going with instead.
