Before I get more I have to get in the habit of taking care of the ones I have. I haven’t cared for the plants on that shelf since I put it up. Bad, bad acutewit! I hadn’t thought about the possibility that with the plants up high I’d be less inclined to climb up and care for them. Now I have to deal with that. I have been planning on taking care of them every day for over a week now. I MUST DO IT OR THEY WILL DIE! Why am I not motivated? I will get over it. These plants need some love right now.

No, I haven’t gotten new plants but… Those cuttings I made weren’t doing too well on top of the kitchen shelves. I think they didn’t have enough light there. It’s impossible for me to put my plants most places where there is light b/c my cats destroy plants. Today I got a surge of productivity and built a shelf up by the top of the window in the kitchen for the plants to live on! I’m sure the cuttings will do well there and as they grow roots I will transplant them and then build additional high up pedestals where they can live safely and get the light they need. I love it!

28th Street in Manhattan between 6th & 7th Avenue is the heart of the flower district. I happened to walk the block today and my mouth watered at all the plants! I didn’t pick up any due to low cash flow right now but as soon as I have the extra bucks…

Recently my cat knocked a bunch of plants off a high place and killed them. They were the kind that have long vines that always grow and get longer. He managed to uproot them all and crush many. I cut them into smaller pieces and have them in water, hoping they’ll grow new roots and that I can save them while also increasing the number of individual plants I have. I need to create some way to keep my plants high and well lit that my cats can’t get to.
