Is all the clutter gone from my life? Heck, no!
I have decided that yes, there is LESS clutter in my life and also that given my personality, there’s always going to be SOME clutter.
On to other things!

It seems to be a cyclical matter—right now there is a lot of it, but I know exactly when it is going away (Friday, before Shabbat.)
Getting acquainted with my habits seems to be the best way to improve some of them.
I’m still unpacking the last boxes (some of which I may not reach until January) but the last bits of clutter are leaving my life. Now the trick is to not COLLECT clutter.
Thanks for all the good bits of advice. I’m using ‘em.
Well, I showed the clutter. I got rid of a LOT of stuff. Then I put the rest in boxes and moved it!
And at the moment, all of it feels like clutter. My motto is “everything in its place” and if it doesn’t have a place, it can’t live at my house. Unpacking will be the final phase of my de-cluttering.
Moving is really helping me with this. A guy is coming by in about 30 min to take a whole bunch of stuff for his yard sale. Happiness all around.
I look at everything and say to myself, do I have a place for this in the new place? If I don’t, it ain’t goin’.
getting rid of a lot of stuff, prior to moving… I’m finding homes for most of it pretty quickly, courtesy of LA Freecycle.
Nice to move things around; one person’s annoyance is another’s big find.
because the goal has changed slightly. I’m getting ready to move, so I need to pare down the stuff in my life. Tidiness may or may not come, but it sure won’t come to the next place if I’m toting along things I don’t need!
OK, I located one culprit: my time management is poor, to put it kindly. Have made some changes, set some priorities, and I’m already seeing results, including the fact that I’m no longer ashamed for anyone to see my living room.
Aaaugh—not doing so well on this! Progress on the mess, but not what I had hoped.
but I can get up. My goal for TODAY is to make some visible progress on this mess.
