Funky Drunken Monkey needs a name!

Finished him. Reinforced some of his seams with the new strong cotton (thanks mum). Yuki provided the buttons – a real team effort – although he is obviously all my own work. Still got 4 more pairs of socks as well – so maybe he’ll get some friends.

Anybody got any good ideas for a name – Shandy maybe?

1st One is partially complete

This is my first sewing project since junior school – say 20 years ago – and I was rubbish at sewing then as well. Anyhow – he is partially complete – he is missing ears and eyes and some of the seeming is absolutely shameful.

I think I have some helpful beginners hints – I used really fine thread and a needle that I had purloined from a hotel at some point this is not the ideal thing to use. For my next one I am going to fine a bigger needle and some thicker cotton. I still need some buttons. I think there is a sewing shop in Muswell Hill…
