Second priority?

I’m always torn between devoting time to French vs. German (and in my wishy-washiness, end up being crap at both). German’s more grammatically hardcore, which I love, but less useful (since most Germans speak English); French is easier and prettier, but I have a much harder time with listening comprehension, and doubt that I’ll ever spend the necessary time there to ever perfect it… so is it worth it?
