Yesterday I sat down with a girlfriend and worked out a budget, a savings plan and a debt snowball. I can pay off my bills while still having a life. Thank god!

How I Got Here 8 months ago

My first year of teaching, I worked part time and had no start up money. So, I charged everything. I have 3,000 on MBNA, 800 to Banana Republic and 400 to J.Crew (I wore jeans and t-shirts in college and owned no nice clothes).

I want to be out of debt of July 1st or have made a significant dent in it.
