Improve my French

Had a great time at the school – not sure how much my French improved – but I still had fun. Trying to keep the French alive through listening to French music (and trying to understand the words) and French films. Must join the Alliance Francaise but has had no time yet to investigate… Moving to France for a few months is an option too….

Have booked and paid for the flight tickets, for the four weeks at the language school and in 6 weeks’ time I will be on a jet plane to France.

Yesterday I got a phone call from an aquaintance I met in Mali who told me there is a real need for people with my skills in West Africa and he would like to get me out there for work. I would love it, but my French need some improvement, so I am looking at spending a month in France to improve it. Planned to do it last year, but due to several other unexpected events, could not make it to France. I also spoke to another client who feels I should take the time out if I need to and go to France and that I should not worry about being away for any length of time as there will always be work for me when I return. A nice feeling and re-assuring to hear from a regular client. So will finish catching up on work and then hopefully by the time I return from Nigeria in mid February I will know when would be the best time to spend time in France this year.
