i love the joke, i’ve got one chapter left… kundera really pinpointed that strange thing that has been happening to me for a long time. whenever i try to think of people, their face has been blacked out, i can just see them in the context of how, when, and why i saw them, and they are not just a person, they are an experience, they are this world. except for the face, the face always loses me.
right now ludvik feels bad that he didn’t experience people as they simply were, but as they pertained to him. i understand…
