Learn to do the electric slide

My sweetie’s friend had a wedding reception (very nice) and I did the electric slide, not with confidence, but I didn’t do to bad. I was rather pleased with my non coordinated dancing self.
My sweetie cheered me on.

Saturday night I was at the Crow’s Nest (what a bore) and they were doing the electric slide. I sat there watching, thinking, I should be able to do this, but I didn’t dare get up and embarrass myself. On Sunday, I volunteered at the Hunger Walk and they were doing the electric slide, if I hadn’t been working at a booth I would have given it a shot, but oh well, a sista still can’t do it. My day will come.

Okay, my co-worker said that I should keep this to myself and not tell anyone that I can not do the electric slide, but I can’t and I’m not embarrassed if people know. Now, I can shake it up on the dance floor but I can’t group dance. No synchronized dancing for me, but my sweetie says he’s gonna teach a sista to electric slide. Thank goodness, I don’t wanna die not knowing how to do it! Does anyone remember the show A Different World? If so, I hope you remember the episode were Freddie is trying to step, well that’s me, I’m Freddie. I just have to laugh at myself.
