For some reason, I had the idea that I would have to have a husband or significant other to go into this with in order to make it happen. I really don’t. I could do this totally on my own.
Also, I thought I would need a huge down payment (like $50,000+) in order to make it happen. I was talking to a custom home builder about it & he said that I really don’t need a huge down payment (although it would definitely help). Just as long as I have decent credit & am making a decent salary, I can easily own a home.
