7. staying in touch with old friends.

1. hot chocolate.
2. having a 4 day weekend.
3. pecan pie.
4. watching E.T. again. What a good movie.
5. listening to Broadway show tunes in my car.

1. paying all of my bills at once.
2. having no credit card debt.
3. having breakfast for lunch.
4. buying myself the most bad-ass gift ever: the complete collection of Prismacolor colored pencils (all 132)! bliss.
5. new high-threadcount sheets.
6. cute waiters.
7. crawfish bisque.
8. good friends.

There’s so much to be thankful for, I can hardly even process it..

1. rainy night.
2. the price of gas went down.
3. pineapple.
4. how the body heals itself through sleep.
5. how my Scottish boss always tells me “well done”.
6. the CD my sister made for me.
7. chocolate.
8. I have a meeting with my best client tomorrow.
9. Starbucks & being able to stay there for a couple hours & work.
10. @ Starbucks, overhearing 2 very fake, very corporate women talking about work & feeling SO VERY GRATEFUL that I don’t have to work in the corporate world. hee!

1. something I heard someone say: “it just takes some doin’.”
2. choosing to see things in terms of abundance instead of scarcity.
3. nice weather.
4. dragonflys.
5. the sound from slowly driving on a gravel road.
6. bonding with clients; bonding with client’s pets.
7. the really sweet, elderly security guard who helped me the other day.
8. peach tea.
9. how you can see in the beauty in something when you’re looking at the right angle – this applies to photography and also to people & situations. Everything.

9. big generalization: the difference between people with “old money” and people with “new money”. People with old money don’t want money to define them. And I like that.
10. My little sister is so inspiring to me. She has always been the bold, fearless one.
11. The fact that I’ve never had a perm.

13. seeing fit, elderly people exercise. It’s hopeful.

1. no real serious damage after Hurricane Ike.. just a knocked down fence & lots of broken tree limbs in the yard.
2. my family & friends are safe & taken care of.
3. after 3 days, I finally have power again!!! and it’s GREAT.
4. (continuation of #3): I can make coffee!!! (drinking it right now).. I can dry my hair! I can do laundry! I can watch tv if I want to! I can check my email! wheee!!!
5. I have a very cool & supportive boss.
6. I’m lucky that I can work from home.
7. having water through it all – being able to take a cool bath to deal with the heat on day 1 & day 2.
8. having lots of ice, food & bottled water..
9. having a cell phone charger in my car.
10. having a car: experiencing air conditioning & being able to listen to the radio in my car.
11. The recent cold front!!! The lows are in the 50s!!! It happened on day 3 & it was actually nice having all the windows open.
12. On day 3, I found a Mexican bakery that was open & served coffee.
13. gas stations that are open.
14. having lots of work to do.
15. having this little wacky website, 43things & all my sweet 43peeps.. hey! :)
