build a career in international relations

It’s my 2nd year in this job and I enjoy it more than ever! It turned out to be not just a great job in itself, but also a great place to learn/develop new skills as well as creating an ever-expanding network. In February I’ll be attending a winter course on EU policy making and I’ll be joining a network of young Dutch civil servants working in EU policy areas. Another step towards that international career… Things are going well.

...in my new job. It’s a great, internationally oriented job, the pay is really good, I have lots of responsibility, the team is really friendly, my boss is flexible yet challenging me, and I got flowers to boot. Flowers! On my first day! I is happy.

Am excited as this job will involve international travel and liaising with EU institutions. It’s an interesting position which forms a great stepping stone for the rest of my career… things are moving in the right direction!
