I was doing really well, I was choosing not to eat chocolate but was snacking on vegetables and having fruit smoothies, but a couple of weeks ago I started slipping backwards. This wee I am going to try and pull it back again (we are almost through the last of the Halloween chocolate so that will help).

Well actually Matt Roberts has a plan http://tinyurl.com/ea7wg and I’ve started testing the diet side of things while I’m on leave so I can start thinking about what would work when I’m at work.
The plan includes eating 4 portions of fruit and 3 of vegetables a day – this is my main problem, neither of them are my favourite foods.
so I’ve tried Innocent cranberry and raspberry. I can’t say I enjoy it and the smell of bananas is horrible, but I’ve drunk 250ml of it for two days now. That means I’ve had my full fruit quota for two days in a row, I don’t think that’s happened before.
I’ve managed to use it most mornings which I has significantly increased my fruit intake
an bought an apple slicer. I find it easier to eat apples like this so hopefully it will lead to me eating more!
I also tried a segment of orange today, this is the first time since I was about 8!
I know I know, like I need any more books, but …
I have three Patrick Holford books already and found them really useful. As I’ve been ill a lot in the last month I’ve bought his book 100% health about nutrition and health, so hopefully it should help this goal.
With dinner last night I had a small salad which I managed to eat half of. Also as I was preparing breakfast this morning I ate a few grapes.
I don’t like, fruit, vegetables or salad. I’ve got better ove the last year or two, but I’d still rather eat other things. This is going to be a tough challenge.
