pay off debt

but my Visa is now paid off.
I’m still on track for my gas card next month.
In some ways – these two are the most difficult. My Visa and my Gas Card are my everyday cards if you will – and I’m planning not to get rid of them – just use them wisely. The Comp card is just a debt to pay off and I don’t carry the Mastercard around with me – makes it easier not to overuse it.
So get me to the end of February and I have bigger debts to finish paying off – but easier to not run up debts again.

the AMEX though I had to go into the first paycheck here in December to do it.
My next December paycheck should get me paid off on the Visa!

AMEX – paid off November
Visa – paid off December
Gas Card – paid off February 2008
Computer Store Card – paid off May 2008
Mastercard – paid off November 2008
Car – last payment is December 2009

Progress Report:
Gas Card – on track – same amount from here to July should do it
Visa – the biggie – a setback since I stupidly charged away about 1/2 of what I paid off! How stupid of me – and on stupid things no less. So a slight change here. I have scheduled my 2nd big payment. So beginning of next month I’ll be 1/2 paid off. So I’m calling it 2/4 payments done. I know where my 3rd pymt money is coming from but I’ll have to figure out where the 4th one will come from. I don’t think I’ll make it by end of March but I’m hopeful for late Spring…
Computer Store Card – Behind the curve on this one too – but I’m not adding to it!
Car and School – just pluggin away…

Progress report:
Department Store card: Done (now the trick is to avoid charging more that I can’t pay off in the same month).
Gas card: On track
Visa: Has morphed into 3 big pymts. Have done 1/3 big pymts
Car: On track

I even think I have enough for Christmas (if I budget)!

So I want some financial independance so I could make a major change in 2 years. My first step in this is to pay off some major debt I have accumulated in the last 4 years:
I think I now have a plan for this.
So my debt elimination goals are:
Department Store card: next paycheck (start with a easy one)
Gas card: By end of July 2006
Computer Store card: By end of December 2006
Visa: By end of March 2006 (I do those 2 big pymts)
Car: By end of December 2007 (3 big pymts and larger per month pymt)
School: This one I’m just keeping at the minimum as I have been

I think I need to make an entry here every 2 weeks to go with my paycheck.

Scary to try to do this as the holidays start but I have to keep the priorities in line.
