My knee still injured. However, i have noticed that when i work out it does not hurt as bad later. maybe it is just a tight muscle. I am taking the stairs still just not every day and I think i am going ot nix the heels for awhile.
Okay Okay so I may have over done the stair and high heels thing because from my ankel to my knee on my left leg is pure pain! I mean two days ago it was sore, then yesturday it was a little swollen and my ankle felt as if i had tendinitous (or how ever you spell it). this morning however, not only did the ankle hurt and my knee but I could not bend my knee more then 25 degrees with out screaming uncle! Monday I worked out (think that is why the ankle started in…) and yes I tackled the rocky steps in the park… 3 times. Ugh! In the building i wore the heels and till took the stairs. The past two days has been tennis shoes or flats and the elevator for me! I did attempt the stairs in teenis shoes just 2 flights and that was painful. so with Gods great devine healing, tea tree oil for the swelling and just plan taken it easy and stretching…. I should be good to go by next monday. I hope.
I dunno if i spelled it right but I pretty much wear them every day and oh yeah I am still taking the stairs.
Friday.. doctor. Saturday and sunday boyfriend… Monday I worked out managed to run yes run 1/2 a mi and run up those hellish staris in the Hieghts park. It was fun and I sweat so much you could ring my shirt out with sweat!
Oh I am going to get these stairs down… today up them 3 times and down them 3 times at a “running” pace… then i discovered my next goal… the hill… I will post that in a awhile one thing at a time. pics … oh yeah! i will have those asap
I was able to incorporate my stair goal and my work out this afternoon. My work out partner and I took to the park in the heights this afternoon for a lovely power walk on a hill type trail. Low and behold in the middle of this trail was a rocky type stair obstacle… and guess what… I RAN up the stairs! Whoop! Just saying… I may beat the power the stairs have over me after all and shed the calories needed to reach my weight loss goal. I figure when I accomplish the stairs I will be able to challenge myself at a mile run with out dropping dead! That is another goal for another time… this is just a start.
Good Lord . . . this morning was a true test in my goal of conquering the demon like stairs that haunt my dreams. (Okay not so bad but it was fun to write…any way) So I parked on the 4th floor of the garage this morning and took the stairs to the roof of the garage which crosses into the 8th floor of the building. From the 4th floor to the roof, 6 levels of stairs which equals 12 flights…. YIKES! It was so humid and with my asthma it was very tuff but like a trooper I took the 8th floor stairs to the 4th floor which is going down but stairs none the less and that was another 8 flights! This has been my routine since Thursday last. Okay so here is where my entry gets interesting… I left my drink that is essential to my diet regimen in my car. First thought was, “okay I already did the stairs I can take the elevator.” But in my experience since I started the stair thing… stairs are faster just more work… so I took the damn stairs to the 8th floor which cross walks to the roof of the garage down to the 4th floor to my car back to the stairs up to the roof across the walk to the 8th floor down the stairs again to the 4th floor… ALL IN 5 MINUTES! For me that was an accomplishment and yes I was very much so out of breath but hey that is why this is a challenge!
