reorganise my flat and make it more cosy

I went to look at the curtains and they didn’t have any in the size I need. Unfortunately, whilst I was in the shop I ended up buying some clothes in the sale instead! So I don’t have new curtains at the moment, but on the positive side, I like my new clothes!

Never mind, I’ll find some that I like soon enough.

Which means that I will be able to get a couple more things for my flat. There is a sale in a shop I like, so I am hoping to be able to get some new curtains at least, and maybe some more picture frames and so on.

My best friend is moving house this weekend, so today I took delivery of her armchair that she will no longer have room for. It’s quite big and squidgy, so you sink into it – it’s lovely. I went out and bought three new cushions – one for the armchair and two more to go on my sofa. They were in a sale, so it didn’t cost very much. I’m pleased with the way my flat is looking, I still want to add a few more bits and bobs, but it’s coming along!

I bought a new bookcase today. It was flat pack so I have spent the afternoon putting it together. I’m really plesased as I did it by myself and it hasn’t collapsed!! That’s taken care of the piles of books I have that don’t fit into the bookcases already. On with the re-organizing!

I’m going to go and buy a new bookcase tomorrow. It will have to be flatpack so you can guess what I’ll be doing all day then!

I’ve needed to do this for so long. I’ve lived in my current flat for over three years and it’s still not how I want it!! I live in a studio flat so space is very limited, so I seem to end up with piles of stuff all over the place. I need to get another bookcase, a little table, a new TV stand, some storage boxes and then some more curtains and cushions. Maybe a couple of new pictures or something. A friend is giving me an armchair – I have quite a large sofa but no comfortable seperate chairs. I have few days off work, so hopefully I can at least make a start.
