I acknowledged an older lady on the bus today and a young lady from Africa yesterday. It felt good. This goal was created because no matter how a person looks or their age, people need to be acknowledged. People have an innate desire for human connection and to feel relevant to other people. I feel we live in a society more connected to technolgy (facebook etc) then people. As the world slowly abandons face to face connections (for facebook etc) I want to grow closer to people.
I will make a bigger effort in acknowledging people. People just don’t know how much just saying hi, or talking to someone can do. I especially want to acknowledge overlooked people like the elderly, socially unattractive etc.
