Still haven't quite managed to make it outside yet... 22 months ago

I’ve fallen of of the proverbial wagon several times since last this goal was reviewed and considered. Most importantly I’ve managed to mostly stay on task, be it through motivators such as the overweight photographs from whence I came or the knowledge I continuously seek concerning my overall health.

My workmate’s fiance wants a friend to play basketball with and I insisted she alert him to my willingness/desire.
I never went hiking before… what was I talking about? I don’t even remember these opportunities. Maybe I was drunk…

I don’t over-extend myself, i.e. working out 6 days a week. Taking on appropriate exercise has finally become something appropriatly integrated into my life. I am more so focused on a healthy work/life balance…

I’ll get outside eventually… void of excuses about Corporate America or the weather. Blah Blah Blah.



I just need to add the outdoors ... 3 years ago

I am at the gym six times a week – for the past two months.
Three days interval cardio and three days doing either circuit [weight training] or boot camp training.

And its working wonders on so many aspects of my life. The only thing is that when I think of being more physically active I envision myself outside – even though I’m not the most into nature. But, its really difficult to work the Corporate America workweek and then find time to hit the basketball or tennis court.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to start adding hiking, both in Upstate NY, and the at the Observatory in the hills of LA, CA.

So, we’ll see …
