We just paid off our 1st credit card!
$2160
On Friday we ask them if they can give us an interest free period on a transfer of another card, or else we will just close the account :)
so happy!
We are trying super hard to pay off our debts now by 2013. So how I decided to do this was bring up the grand total of our credit cards and divide it by the weeks left of the year and then pay that amount each week no matter what. It’s $300 a week – $300 A WEEK!!! Anyway, so we started automatic repayments and are trying to survive on what’s left over – which has been a major struggle.
Ok, My husband did an Emcee job over a weekend a few weeks ago. He was to get paid $1200 so we decided he could use $200 towards new work equipment and the rest goes on the credit card.
He got paid today
I just transferred $1000 onto the credit card
I feel INCREDIBLY miserable!!! I thought this would make me feel happy but instead I feel like crying :(
I will wait until Tuesday to go to Dixon’s to sell my cd’s as we will be in the area anyway. I earned a $100 bonus this month in my pay – I will have to follow that up and I will put it straight onto the credit card.
We have paid off 16.1% of our total debt!!! this makes me feel great. In the meantime we have been able to save $1833 in savings/emergency. All through automatic payments!!! We are finally making way :)
