get my license

I’ve decided the best way to do this is to buy a car. My brother did this and it worked. So I am hoping I can use my tax return in the spring for a down payment on some cheap and reliable wheels. Yay! So excited….

I am trying to figure why I don’t seem to want to get my driver’s license. I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts lately about the law of attraction, positive thinking, motivational stuff, and it is forcing me to think about the issue and question what is really going on here.

Okay, this is what I think it is: I had some really rotten experiences when I was trying to learn how to drive. I had a couple of different instructors who were not kind or understanding, and I mean at all, plus I have a fender bender and more than one failed driving exam under my belt. I have pinpointed what the problem is, now I just need to figure out how to wipe the slate clean of all those negative associations and start seeing driving as something fun and pleasurable, rather than something that I dread but have to do like going to the gynecologist or getting a tooth pulled.

I don’t want to do this, but I am going to MAKE myself do it. AND I’m going to figure out a way to like it. Once I have it, I won’t know how I ever lived without it.

I left my purse at Buca Friday night. I didn’t realize it was gone until after the wedding, and by then someone had stolen my debit card. I’m hoping they didn’t thnk to take my ID as well. Anyway, now I have to go down and get a new permit. I really need to just do this.

ask my husband to let me drive to Weight Watchers today. It’s funny, I think it has something to do with my new hair color, but I feel more confident about getting on the road today!

This goal is like a rock in my shoe. It’s getting so I get in a bad mood just looking at it. I don’t know why this one is so hard for me.

having it on my list staring back at me every day is definitely making me think about doing it.
