I went on Freecycle last week and here’s what I racked up:
36 & 37. two air filters that didn’t fit my ac vent
38. big pink table lamp
39. Josh’s nap roll from preschool (he’s almost 13; I don’t think he’ll be needing it)

It’s been so long since I’ve been on 43things, I can’t remember. But it feels like a good time to dust off some of these old goals and just get rid of some of the others. Anyway, the other day I went back to my old friend Freecycle and started using it to unload some of my old junk. I gave away a pink table lamp that I no longer need, Josh’s old nap roll from preschool, and tomorrow I have someone coming to haul away two air filters that we never used because they were the wrong size. It does the spirit good to get rid of stuff and the added bonus is that instead of chucking it in a landfill, I’m doing someone else a good turn. Plus I don’t have to sit outside and try to stuff down my irritation while someone haggles with me at a garage sale over items I am practically giving away anyway.
I am almost forgot! A couple of weeks ago, I gave my cousin two of my son’s outfits that he has outgrown for her baby. I hope she likes them….
19. extra laundry basket
20. sandals that have been loved so much they’re falling apart
pink table lamp
approx. 30 podcast shows that either held so little interest for me anymore or where outdated enough that they weren’t worth hanging on to
Amvets called…tomorrow my box goes out to bless someone else who needs it more than I do. Most of the stuff I had in it has already been accounted for, but here’s the last minute additions:
pair of white slip-on Keds-type sneakers
couch slipcover
self-help audiotape
so far, about a dozen toys, give or take a couple, are headed toward Goodwill. I’m really not sure how many are here, and since I don’t want to count them, this counts as 6 items (5 large toys and 1 bunch of little things that I don’t feel like dealing with anymore).
My youngest child is 3; I think I can safely get rid of all the sippy cups now….
