bangkok

thailand, land of a thousand smiles. bangkok is the capital. the photo was taken at the grand palace. bangkok is a very busy city with endless offerings. for shoppers, chatuchak weekend market is a must.

jakarta

been here only to go to the clubs. 3 times so far… hahaha… a must visit for clubbers out there. the stadium experience is not to be missed.

koh yao

a small island near phuket. we spent a night here to get away from the hustle of phuket. it was the end of the peak season so there were hardly any tourists. beautiful! underdeveloped and charming. we stayed on a hill top and the photo is the view from the balcony.

phuket

i had been here 10 years ago. i did not remember it fondly. however, this time, i enjoyed it thoroughly. my partner and i spent a week here. we rented a motorbike and rode around the island, visiting the many beaches.

lombok/gili trawangan

such a relaxing and beautiful place. be prepared to do nothing on gili trawangan. people are so friendly. the picture is my view for breakfast.

koh phangan

home to the full moon party. my friends and i were shown such amazing and sincere hospitality. i was once again reminded that you cannot go wrong with being kind… people sense it. many lessons on human relations were reinforced here. respect… the thais are big on that. it’s really basic manners actually.

bali

a city island… more shopping than i expected. the charm of the island life is gone however, it is definitely the place for luxurious villa living.

my own backyard

i’ve travelled a fair bit but never to my own backyard. this time, i’m going to do it! and i think i’m off to a pretty good start.

august: krabi, thailand
september: hanoi, vietnam
october: hong kong
