to a few people who have this goal. Just want to see if I ever come up with anything good to say. I tried commenting today, but I have no idea what these stangers are going through. We’ll see how it goes.

Perhaps if I list resources 3 years ago

There are TONS of resources on the internet in many languages. If even one of you 43Thingers with this goal could give them a shot. Maybe it will change things for you. I can’t promise anything, but I want you to know that there are people out here who care.

It’s not like I’m a crisis counselor. What could I possibly be able to do to help all these folks, or even one person. Perhaps I will begin checking in on some. How are you doing? I hope you don’t commit suicide.

I came across this goal 3 years ago

and read a whole bunch of entries. People are really depressed. I wish there is something I can do. But what good is a stranger writing some random comment of “no, don’t do it.”

What would compell people to post it? Is it the cliche cry for help? I always thought suicide was a very private thing. Why would you announce it to the hundreds of thousands of people on this site?

Life is full of mysteries…
