flip flops are the ultimate summer sole. Light, airy and perfect for hot days, hot walks, beach visits, or pool hopping. I can’t wait for summer to arrive!

Nothing like coming home from a hard day of politics to be enlightened about the stupidity of politics. And John Stewart is so damn sexy.

My new best friend! Pandora is a web site that lets you check out all kinds of music. And then it sets up a “station” based on what you choose you like or dislike. Anywhere you have an internet connection, you have great music.

I just added it to my facebook profile. Yay!

I love listening to the thunder roll in and watching lightening. It’s beautiful and cool. Mother Nature showing off.

Okay, they sort of look like this, but the pink is brighter and it’s a plain clog and they are not official crocs.

But I love them nonetheless. They are so comfortable. I wear them all the time. When I know I didn’t bring comfortable shoes to work, I throw them in the car, just in case. No worries!

What can I say? If gas wasn’t so darn expensive, I’d be taking a lot more of these.

Whether it’s exploring a neighborhood, visiting a friend or loved one or a planned outing for the day, I love it.

The Crandell Theatre, Columbia County’s oldest and largest theatre, is located in upstate New York in the village of Chatham. An architectural gem, the Crandell has remained basically unchanged since built in 1926 by Walter S. Crandell, as a vaudeville house.

The Crandell is designed Spanish style, of brick and stucco at the cost of about $100,000 in pre-depression dollars.

Opening with a Jules Verne photoplay on Christmas Day in 1926, entertaining a packedhouse.

The theatre seats 534 patrons, with 112 of the seats in the balcony. The stage is 26 feet wide and 13 feet deep.

Admissions today are just $4.00 for an adult and $3.00 for a child under 12. And a large popcorn is just $2.50!

I wish I had a photo to show you this beautiful venue. It’s just a mile from my house and we try to go unless we are traveling or have no interest in seeing the film. It’s one screen so it usually shows one movie a week with 2 different show times. Now that summer is here, they will probably show two different movies a day.

This place is an historical treasure and probably the oldest independent theater in the country. Right in my own backyard!

Whether it’s going for a brisk walk, a bike ride, or just cuddling up in the sun with a good book, I love fall. The cool air is so refreshing after a long, hot summer and the fall colors are always breathtaking. A perfect day!

Guilt was getting the better of me when I started drinking Propel water for my workouts. I love the light flavor, not too sweet and not too many calories like Gatorade. I’m trying to lose weight after all.

Propel was being sold in plastic bottles and I was using about 4 per week. It was adding up on the price and adding to my carbon footprint with all the darn plastic.

Now I buy the multi pack of Propel powder. Yay! Much more efficient, cheaper, and I can use my reuseable water bottle. And 10 packets cost about $3. Huzzah!

This is one of the best web sites ever. Browse it for all the crappy forwarded e-mail junk you receive and it will tell you what is true and what is false. You can even send things that you’ve received or seen and they will check into it for you. I have done this many times.
