get all my dental work done

Made an appointment – the earliest I could get in was December 3rd. Need to make sure I can get another one in 2 to 3 months after that and one after the baby is born for sure.

I still have to make an appointment to keep on top of my teeth whilst I am pregnant. Planning on taking part in the smile study where they are looking at the effect of gum disease on pregnancy.

This goal is on hold because they can’t do my treatment whilst I’m pregnant!!

It seems that this goal has become unobtainable after having received the treatment plan with a cost of $44000 and the smallest amounts that it can be done in is $22000 at a time. I just can’t justify or afford $44000 in my mouth right now.

Dentist said next visit we make the decision as to whether we make the changes permanent. Get to the next visist and nothing said and he is flying out to America that night so I don’t get the chance to bring it up as he goes into another room to deal with another patient.

4 days later and 1/2 of a tooth worth of orthotic snapped off. I have to wait 10 days to get into see him again because he is away all week. Another 3 days and now 3/4 is broken off. Rang and got an earlier appointment, 7 days after first break occurred.

I hope this doesn’t mean I have to go through this process again. It is taking too long.

On Thursday I go back to make the decision about doing this permanently. Finances are going to be the only issue, hopefully that won’t be too much of an issue.

I’ve been goign to my appointments and things are improving no end – I’m even flossing regularly now.

Of course until the actual permanent work is done I can’t tick this off, but at least I’m doing it

I’ve had my orthotic fitted and one adjustment done. Due for another adjustment in two weeks and then it is just the waiting before the actual work to change my bite is done – which will be a bit of a financial issue I think being that the temporary measure just to correct the bite will be a minimum of $4500.

phone call today that the big dental appointment is on Valentines Day!!

I made the appointment today – the first visit is booked on Valentines day – yippee. And so we begin stage 3 of my dental work plan.

I have 4 hours on Feb 14th 1 and a half hours two weeks later and a further hour 2 days after that.

Then there will be another set of appointments for the rest after that initial step.
