My hubby and I are debating whether or not to get another vehicle in lieu of the one that we already have. We have an SUV and to fill the tank costs us about $60. We have our eye on the Toyota Matrix and we have seen that it is much better on gas. the big question though is what do we want to do with the loan that we will take out?
Our goal has been to pay off our current car load and then a small home loan and then we will think about what else needs to be done. Do we need the car? No. Will it put money in our pockets? That is the lingering question that hovers in my mind.

I am pleased that my hubby and I have paid off another big debt, we are now working on the car and then we will target the morgage. I checked over the books and it simply blew me away how much the back will be making over the life of the mortgage loan. It certainly enocurages me and the hubby to work harder to pay it off sooner. It has taken alot of time to realize that material things can be so much fun but they are just “stuff”. Being able to live life without living “check to check” is a great feeling. No creditors calling at all hours asking for the overdue payments.. “priceless” Taking control of spending and then being willing to really save and then invest are things that you have to learn. Like anything else in life for you to become better at it you have to do it all the time. Now we question all our large money purchases. Do we need them and can there be delayed gratification involved so that we can save for the product. No more just pulling out the plastic money and paying that price, instead we know what we are doing when we feel the dollar bills in our hands.
