13 boxes that had been packing the spare closet GONE! They were filled or half filled with papers and just JUNK when they made it into the dumpster. I’ve condensed actual memorobilia into two rubbermade containers and now the back closet is used to store those two, a box of wine glasses, coats, and an old dollhouse. :)
Moving the coats opened up the kitchen closet to become an actual pantry. I put a shelf in there so canned goods, the dog food, cleaning supplies, and my garbage can are tucked away. I’ve also hung baskets from the hanger rod to store potatos, onions, shallots and stuff. :)
I got a bookshelf for Christmas so all my books are now organized on a shelf which has freed up a lot of space around my desk, and small items at the desk have baskets.
All these baskets, I had them already and just had to dig them out and USE them. Amazing what happens when you set aside a weekend to clean out. The energy is just so much cleaner now around here.
Next step: go through the bedroom closet and the two boxes of clothes and clean out, and donate all clothes that do not fit or that I do not wear. Also, get my wedding dress packed away properly so its not still hanging in the closet almost two years later.
