It has been about a year since my last publication. I need another quick! As usual my boss is dragging his feet. Need something else to work on that leads to a publication…quick!

Long dry couple of weeks.
Sadly my summer paper is not going out this summer. Crap. But a secondary project is gaining speed.
I am going to bang out a draft of the methods section tomorrow or Friday for the paper nearest to completion. Unfortunately the number 2 and 3 projects are not getting traction, so my goal of 3 in review or out by January of next year may not happen. But one should be in the pipe by early Fall and another will be half-written and collecting some additional data then, too.
Oh, and there is this review I need to write.
Suddenly today: progress! Did not see that coming.
Big meeting tomorrow about the next paper. I am not fully sanguine but still plodding.
Ok, so I seem to have two projects sitting in various states of incompleteness. The first is on hold due to some mathematical problems. If we can get the software running soon, we may be able to get a handle on it.
The second is a project that I don’t understand at all. As soon as I can tag my advisor to a meeting, I will get it back underway.
For the rest of the week, IRBs. Human subjects review is tedious.
After a gap of months in order to advance to candidacy for my PhD and a week and a half of traveling, I will be getting back to this on Tuesday or Wednesday. Still aiming for a submission by the end of the summer. ::fingers crossed::
Well, the one I was writing is now on indefinite hold, but there is another sitting in the desk drawer. Need one more subject’s data early this summer then it is off to the journal. There is also a review paper I need to start!
I am pretty far along with the draft of the current project. I would like to finish the draft tomorrow, and give it to my advisor. As soon as I get my advancement to candidacy done, we have another project to get started with right away.
