...but I did! I now understand the importance of exercise in my life. It makes me feel good, clears my head, helps me to focus my energy and release the anxiety and tension of the day. I think if I can go to the gym at least 3x straight for four weeks, I’ll be able to check this goal off. I’m starting to get hooked on exercise and it feels wonderful. If I go today on my lunch break, I’ll have completed this goal for the week! w00t.

I went to the gym today on my lunch break and spent 35 mins on the elliptical machine. It is so easy to say “Nahh I’m not going today, I’m exhausted.” Fighting the desire to curl up with a book for an hour, I marched myself over to the gym and laced up my sneakers instead. Now I feel charged up and I’ll bet you my penny collection that I’ll sleep soundly tonight.
last week I exercised 3x, after exercising about 2x a week a month before. I seem to do really well with the routine for a few weeks, and then lose my steam for a week (which was this week). Hopefully I can get back on track.
I’m going to the gym, on average, about 2x a week right now. I’d like to get that number up to 3x. In the fall, I’m thinking about either scheduling in my gym time before I go to work or on my lunch break. Right now, I go after work. It’s too tempting to just go home after work, which is why I only make it about 2x right now.
I alternate between the Precor total body elliptical machines and the recumbent bikes.
I’ve recognized the importance of exercise, not just for keeping my weight down and building muscle, but for the way it clears my head and makes me feel SO FINE.
