have a secret savings account (Shhhh!)

Well I spent my secret stash to buy my horse so basically I am starting over! I “borrowed” a dollar from my husband’s wallet so that is the start of my new stash as of yesterday (the day the robbery—errrr, the borrowing took place). I still have to buy a saddle and bridle for my new horse so I fear that the account will not be building as swiftly as I’d like (boo hoo!) At least I am poor because I got a horse though. This is the best that poor has felt in a long time, I have to say!! I am accepting donations to the secret account so please send me as much money as you can spare, as fast as you can. Don’t worry, I’ll keep it between you and me, afterall it’s a secret, remember?

Well, I’ve saved a little over $200 for my “secret” savings account but I haven’t gone and opened the account yet. I guess I am a little embarrassed to carry in my numerous rolls of coins and $1 bills for fear of looking like I might be a stripper (HA!) who also raids her kids’ piggy banks! Aw who cares, I guess I will try to open that account sometime next week when we get back from Disneyland. Yay! I love Disneyland!

I want to keep a secret savings account that only I know about so that one day I can surprise my husband and say something like let’s put a down payment on a new house or, let’s go to Italy. I think that would be so cool. All of the one and five dollar bills that I get as change, not to mention the coins that build up, instead of spending them on silly things like a drink or a magazine, or whatever, I want to instead put it into a savings account at the end of each week. I think it would be fun and interesting to see just how much a little here and there adds up to each month and I think I’d get satisfaction knowing we have money that won’t be touched no matter what because no one will know about it but ME!!
