walked today with one of my daughters and mixed in some running. i need a shower!

today i went walking in the park with my kids. i added in a little running. i’m trying to get away from running because i know it’s rough on the knees but sometimes i can’t resist.
man was it hot/humid in arkansas today!
walked with my mom today. we had to walk at the sport’s center because it is just too dern hot.
Walked 20 minutes today. I wanted to walk a lot longer but it was so hot today and I had my kids with me. They weren’t having it!
Today I took my other daughter walking with me. We walked about 30 minutes, but fast. We also did some core strengthening exercises. We both wanted to break into a run at some points, but I’ve been trying not to. I am finding the transition from runner to walker pretty tough sometimes.
I walked 30-40 minutes today. I took my daughter with me, so it was a nice time to talk. My other daughter’s feelings were a little hurt, so I told her I’d take her tomorrow.
Thanks to a little inspiration from Nikki- Knicke25- I’m starting on my walking program again. I completed Walking Magazine’s Complete Guide to Walking’s one year program a few years ago and got in the ultimate great shape. I’ve maintained the weight loss, but not so much the fitness… It really is a matter of use it or lose it when it comes to fitness. I’m going to go back on the program, starting with week 15. (Since I already have a base level of fitness.)
