knit a clapotis

I finished my clapotis the other day. It is gorgeous. I love it so much more than I even thought I would. Now I just need to make a few more in different colors.

But at least I finished my Irish Hiking Scarf that I started way back when. It feels so good to finish something that’s been on the needles for a while. Now when I get my third last ball of yarn for my clapotis, I can finish that and I will have no more WIP’s. What will my next project be? My kids both have 9876297456923 requests, and I’m also starting to think about Christmas gifts. Plus I still have lots of things I want to make for myself. So much to knit, so little time. And so little yarn. And so little money to buy yarn.

That still wasn’t enough yarn. I’m so incredibly close to finishing it, but I’ll need one more ball of yarn. This clapotis is becoming very, VERY expensive!

I got the yarn I needed to finish my clapotis. I forgot how fun these things are to knit, especially dropping stitches. I’ve been working on it for a while now and I think I’ll finish today; if not then definately tomorrow!

I’ve had so much fun knitting on my clapotis. It’s just taking so much more yarn than I anticipated. I’ve already sent my husband to the yarn store a few times to pick up an emergency “last hank” and now he’s starting to raise an eyebrow at the $$. Next payday I’ll sneak in myself and get the for-sure last hank, and then I’ll be able to complete this project! In the meantime, I’m working on my Irish Hiking Scarf.
