I really like this word, and it seems to mesh nicely with some of my goals, notably the airship explorer’s tool kit one.

isn’t really working for me; either the words are ones I know or they are very archaic/arcane and I can’t see how they are useful even with passive recognition. I am thinking continuing to read new books and looking out for authors who use words I don’t know will be more effective.

I was reading Heinlein and it had words I couldn’t define and I remembered that it’s hard to learn new words when you aren’t in school. Particularly since I’m well-educated and well-read and so have a large vocabulary to start with.
