practice mindful consumption

sometimes i bring bags, often i will politely decline a bag, but i must stick one in my car…now that i might have one again that is. bye.

i was trying to use a sponge to clean the fridge today instead of using a whole roll of paper towels. i still used some, but it was a better idea.

one day in environmental science we decided to do a project on consumption of americans near christmastime. we found crazy statistics about how many millions of pounds of waste we produce from all our gifts and gadgets and wrappings and crappings. it was crazy to see. and we asked fellow campusmates what they wanted for christmas and if they thought of the environmental damage. about 95% not only didn’t think about it, but didn’t really care.

one person’s family donated to charities in other’s names, another didn’t give gifts.

i’d just like to be more aware of my consumption in general and limit buying, limit paper product usage, and recycle way more.
