I’ve been practising LDing, but decreased the number of reality checks (I am busy with work and I forgot them). I often talk to my subconsciousness to realize a dream state and last night it almost worked! Actually I had a dream about writing down my dreams, but did not notice I am dreaming right now :)
So our mind plays a huge role in having lucid dreams – believing we can easily achieve LD is a key to success.
Today starts week 4 of my practice.
Glady I must admit that my training turned out to be successful – I had my first lucid dream this year, and I am very happy of it! Though I had little control overall and I couldn’t affect on reality around me I know it comes with practice.
- continuing methods of last week: reality checks (looking at hands), writing down my dreams, having plans for the next lucid dream
- single out my dream signs – from the last week, add new dream signs every day, read them out every evening before going to sleep
- stop doing something I often do and set it as a reward. Whenever I think of doing it, say: “I cannot do X unless I have a LD”
I keep forgeting about them! I am out of practice, that’s why. Must remind myself about looking at my hands. I did it several times and it’s too little.
Today I’ve decided to start lucid dreaming again. I want 2011 to be better than ever. I’ve had about 10 lucid dreams during last 6 years, and now I want to increase the number by practising systematically.
During first week I am focusing on:
- writing down my dreams in my dream diary every day
- doing reality checks (with hands) regularly and often
- having plan for my lucid dream (what I want to do and think about it every evening before going to sleep)
- keeping motivated and optimistic
- knowing and remembering how to prolong a lucid dream
I am very happy, because I had another lucid dream today. I feel very motivated. This is my first lucid dream this month.
I had a second lucid dream this year. Not many, but I’m still learning. I feel so happy and motivated today! Wish I could have at least 3 lucid dreams next month.
