I’ve had to take a few weeks off from upper body weight training due to a sprained wrist. Tomorrow I’m going to test myself with greatly reduced resistance to see if I’m ready to go back to a full workout. Hopefully I haven’t lost too much strength!

Got a free session with a personal trainer at Bally’s. She pushed me to 5 reps at 135, and it paid off.
I’ve been lifting weights regularly (about four times a week) for the past nine months or so, and in that time I’ve gone from benching 12 reps at 50 lbs. to 12 reps at 90 lbs.
I currently weigh around 160 lbs., and I’ve been increasing my weight at the rate of about 5 lbs./month. Optimistically, this means that I should be able to achieve this goal in about 14 months, but the law of diminishing returns suggest that it might take longer, perhaps up to two years. I’ll keep track of my progress here.
