I love my elder sister over everyone else. She has always been there for me, she has always had an open ear for me and she makes me laugh so much with her absolute craziness and her sincere happiness! I admire her because she does what she wants to do, no matter what. She believes in herself and, of course, she believes in me. She motivates and helps me with my dreams and my plans. She must be the most charismatic and influential person I know and everyone loves her! I don’t know what I would do without my beloved sister. She means the world to me.

One of the rare places where I can find peace of mind and enjoy the soothing silence: the library. There is no noise but the occasional cough, the flipping of pages, someone’s careful footsteps. The atmosphere in a library relaxes me greatly and on top of that I can fully devote myself to the book I am reading.
Narrow alleys, cobblestones, 19th century street lamps, tiny shops and thrift stores, regular flea markets, breathtaking architecture, historic buildings… I love old towns!
Yes, a band. A band which creates music that lifts my heart and makes it sing along to the honest lyrics… It makes me want to move my feet and sway my body until my feet cannot carry me anymore. How can people create something so beautiful and sincere? Their love songs made me believe in love again.
To be quite honest and straightforward: I never thought my father would figure in this list one day. It is not that I do not love him. it is just that he caused me a lot of distress and pain in my heart when I was but a vulnerable child. However, I know very well now that he never did anything on purpose and that he feels terribly guilty about the things he’s done and all the things he didn’t do. He was never really a father to me… Until now. I gave him a second chance. It is sad that he only realised how important I am to him when they said I was clinically depressed. Now that I feel much better, he is still sticking with me like glue. And I am deeply thankful for that. It took him quite some time but it’s never too late to forgive. So this is me forgiving him for all the times I needed him most and he wasn’t there. Practicing forgiveness is very important. Not being able to forgive is even worse than not being forgiven. Think about it.
Goodness… I LOVE silent films! The wonderful music, the extravagant body language, the awesome facial expressions, the typically dark make-up, the beautiful hairdos… Oh, I love everything about them. And they’re one of the main reasons why I grew to love film in general.
Here is a great website too: www.silentera.com
Oh yes, 43 Things.. This is such a wonderful place, really. It’s very nice to read about other people’s experiences, goals, dreams,... And all those How To’s and people wanting to help others by writing the cutest comments and cheering other people’s goals. Some of you even make friends and get to know people who leave deep, significant traces in their hearts. Yes, 43 Things makes me happy. As weird as it may sound.
You should absolutely try this! I know many people who are passionate about a certain subject, be it astrophysics, graphic design, photography, writing, etc… It doesn’t matter, really! However, those people radiate so much energy when they talk about their favourite subject. They mesmerise me with their fascination and make me want to know more about it. And, additionally, they do those things with care and they’re mostly successful. My father, for instance, is a brilliant cook! If I ask him about a certain recipe, he starts off babbling like a waterfall! It’s incredible! It doesn’t only make me happy.. I know that it makes him glad as well. Give it a try!
Don’t know if you’ve heard about it already…? You probably have! It’s an amazing project, you should have a look at it every Sunday. It’s part of my Sunday ritual: http://www.postsecret.blogspot.com
