I will not give up (yet)

However, it worries me that I’ve been thinking of giving up. I don’t know where my doubts come from because I love writing. I guess it’s hard enough to shake off the need to get recognition for what I do. There are so many talented people out there. I’ve been reading so many beautiful poems and novels, lately. Instead of inspiring me they destroyed my faith in my own writing. I really have to work on it. Although I get positive feedback sometimes, the doubts keep kicking in. I have to get rid of it.

Untitled

I read some of my texts which will appear on a CD quite soon. It’s going to get published in the few next months. I’m looking forward to listening to the result an receiving possible feedback.

Reading

The reading yesterday was a wonderful experience. I’m still speechless. It was a very important and difficult step to make for me but everything turned out pretty well.

Whoop!

I’m taking part in a reading next Sunday! I’m so excited and nervous about this because it gives me the opportunity to read my stuff to people and maybe – just maybe – get a few fans there. I’m still very far away from my initial goal of promoting my writing, but at least I can share my works with people who are genuinely interested in them.

Tumblr?

Would a tumblog be the answer to my question? Tumblr is very popular. Would it do the trick? I don’t know and it’s driving me insane… People should read more, for Pete’s sake! Maybe that’s a problem too.

I seriously need some help with this!

I was told that I am a good writer, however, it’s very hard to get people to read my writing without spamming them. I hate spam, hence I refuse to do it to other people. I don’t want to force people to read my stuff, honestly. I already have a small audience but I think that I could reach more people but I simply don’t know how! I have a blog with a friend of mine but it’s not that successful. It’s true that we do not promote it at all. I wish someone could help me with this, though… I’m at a loss. To me this is very important as writing is everything to me. Maybe there is someone out there who can help me and give me some advice…? That would be so great.
